Oregon Workers’ Compensation Calculator 2026
Estimate TTD or proportional TPD using Oregon’s minimum rule, annual adjustment factors, and the maximum for both the injury group and benefit period.
Estimate Oregon temporary disability benefits
Oregon time-loss benefits can change after the injury year
For injuries before January 1, 2027, TTD generally starts at 66⅔% of the accepted weekly wage. The minimum is the lesser of $50 or 90% of wages. Oregon then applies nonnegative July 1 adjustment factors to eligible continuing benefits and limits the result by a maximum that depends on both the injury-date group and the period being paid.
That is why the calculator requests two dates. Using only the date of injury can produce the wrong result for a continuing claim after July 1.
The 2027 formula is intentionally excluded
Senate Bill 1519 changes TTD for claims with dates of injury on or after January 1, 2027. It will apply 75% to wages up to 75% of the injury-date SAWW and 65% above that point, subject to the statutory limits. This 2026 tool does not apply that future formula early.
The calculator supports injuries from January 1, 2023 through today. Older claims can require different maximum groups and longer adjustment histories.
Limitations
AWW may require special rules for irregular schedules, multiple jobs, piece-rate work, seasonal work, bonuses, or other remuneration. TPD also requires authorized restrictions and an injury-related loss of wages. This estimate cannot decide medical authorization, work availability, claim acceptance, overpayments, offsets, permanent disability, or settlement value.
Why can TPD differ from two-thirds of the wage difference?
ORS 656.212 uses the proportion of wage loss applied to the TTD payment. When a minimum, maximum, or annual adjustment changes TTD, the proportional TPD result can differ from a simple two-thirds calculation.
Does the July adjustment ever reduce an existing rate?
No. Bulletin 111 states that the annual adjustment factor cannot be below 1.0. The July 2023 decrease therefore uses 1.00000.
What happens if the weekly wage is very low?
The base TTD minimum is the lesser of $50 or 90% of the worker’s weekly wage, so the minimum itself cannot exceed 90% of wages.
