Scope
We publish general educational material about U.S. workers’ compensation systems. We do not determine eligibility, provide individualized legal or medical advice, or promise an outcome.
Source hierarchy
- Statutes, regulations, court or administrative decisions, and official rate orders.
- State workers’ compensation agencies and other government publications.
- Official forms, instructions, manuals, and annual bulletins.
- Secondary professional sources used only to clarify context or identify issues requiring primary-source confirmation.
Calculator review
Before publication, each calculator should have documented inputs, formula steps, units, rounding rules, effective dates, statutory boundaries, and excluded factors. Tests must include ordinary values, minimum and maximum boundaries, date transitions, empty inputs, and invalid values. A result page must show assumptions and source links.
Updates and corrections
Rate-sensitive pages display a reviewed or updated date. Material corrections are prioritized. If a calculation error could affect users, the tool may be withdrawn until corrected. Minor style changes do not reset a substantive review date.
Authorship and review
Pages identify their publisher and, when appropriate, the person responsible for writing or expert review. Credentials are described only when they can be verified. Automated tools may assist with research or drafting, but claims and calculations must be checked against cited sources before publication.
Commercial influence
Advertising or affiliate relationships do not determine formulas, conclusions, ratings, or source selection. Sponsored material, if introduced, will be labeled. We do not sell placement inside calculator results.
Feedback
Report a possible error through the contact page. Please include the page, disputed statement or result, injury or rule date if relevant, and an authoritative source.
