Idaho Workers’ Compensation Calculator 2026
Estimate the initial temporary total disability rate with Idaho’s exact five-band official table.
Estimate the initial Idaho TTD rate
Idaho does not use one percentage for every wage
The Industrial Commission’s table moves through five bands: a fixed 15% of average state wage, 90% of AWW, a fixed 45% of state wage, 67% of AWW, and the 90%-of-state-wage maximum. The calculator preserves the official cent boundaries instead of approximating them with a single formula.
2026 AWW bands
| Accepted AWW | Initial weekly rate |
|---|---|
| $0.01–$189.16 | $170.25 |
| $189.17–$567.49 | 90% of AWW |
| $567.50–$762.30 | $510.75 |
| $762.31–$1,524.62 | 67% of AWW |
| $1,524.63 and above | $1,021.50 |
The low-wage band can produce a benefit above AWW because it is the fixed amount printed in the official table. Confirm unusual results with the carrier or Commission.
The estimate covers the first 52 weeks
Idaho states that after 52 weeks the basic benefit changes to 67% of the average state wage, still subject to statutory minimums and maximums. The tool therefore estimates only the initial/current table rate and does not project a long claim.
Temporary partial disability is generally 67% of the decrease in wage-earning capacity, capped by the total-disability maximum. Because legal earning capacity can differ from actual pay, TPD is explained but not reduced to a potentially misleading salary subtraction.
Waiting days affect total payment, not the weekly rate
Temporary income benefits generally have a five-day waiting period. If disability exceeds two weeks, the waiting period is removed and compensation reaches back to the first day. The calculator does not count disability days.
Is AWW the same as take-home pay?
No. AWW is a gross wage figure determined under Idaho law and claim evidence.
Does the injury year matter?
Yes. Idaho publishes a new average state wage and benefit table for each calendar year.
Can this estimate decide TPD?
No. TPD depends on the accepted decrease in wage-earning capacity, a factual and legal determination.
