Nevada Workers’ Compensation Calculator 2026
Estimate monthly temporary total or temporary partial disability using the correct fiscal-year maximum for the injury date.
Estimate Nevada monthly TTD or TPD
Nevada calculates temporary disability monthly
Temporary total disability is generally 66 2/3% of the average monthly wage established for the claim. Nevada caps the wage basis at 150% of the state average weekly wage multiplied by 4.33. The resulting maximum changed on July 1, 2026, so the injury date matters.
For temporary partial disability, Nevada does not simply pay two-thirds of the wage loss. NRS 616C.500 defines the payment as the difference between what the worker earns after injury and the amount the worker would receive if temporarily totally disabled.
The July 1 maximum is selected automatically
For injuries from January 1 through June 30, 2026, the maximum average monthly wage is $8,202.80 and the maximum monthly compensation is $5,468.53. For injuries from July 1 through December 31, the figures are $8,537.68 and $5,691.79.
The official guidelines also publish daily, weekly, and 14-day equivalents. This tool starts with the statutory monthly amount and shows a 14-day approximation using the official 30.44-day convention; an insurer’s actual payment and proration can differ.
What this estimate does not decide
The insurer determines the accepted average monthly wage under Nevada law. Medical certification, claim acceptance, work capacity, a valid modified-duty offer, actual wages, offsets and the number of payable days can change a real payment. TPD is limited to 24 months during the disability period.
Why does the maximum change in July?
Nevada certifies maximum compensation by fiscal year. FY2027 began July 1, 2026.
Is TPD two-thirds of my wage loss?
Not under the Nevada statutory wording. It is the positive difference between the TTD entitlement and the actual post-injury wage.
Is the latest paycheck always the AMW?
No. Nevada has rules for establishing average monthly wage, and the insurer’s accepted figure may use a longer wage history or another authorized method.
