Tennessee TTD and TPD are different calculations
TTD is generally 66⅔% of AWW, subject to the injury-date minimum and temporary maximum. For injuries from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, those limits are $202.95 and $1,488.30.
For claims with injury dates on or after July 1, 2014, Tennessee Code § 50-6-207 calculates TPD as 66⅔% of the difference between pre-injury AWW and the wage the employee can earn while partially disabled, for no more than 450 weeks. The modern TPD paragraph does not direct the calculator to force the general table minimum or maximum onto that wage-loss result.

AWW, waiting days, and limitations
The Bureau describes temporary benefits as usually two-thirds of average weekly wages earned during the 52 weeks before injury. The legally accepted AWW can require payroll evidence and adjustments; enter the claim figure or compare supported scenarios.
Temporary disability is due beginning on the eighth disability day. If disability lasts 14 days or longer, payment reaches back to the first day. The authorized treating physician’s work status and restrictions matter.
This estimate excludes payable days, medical authorization, permanent benefits, multipliers, death benefits, offsets, credits, settlement value, and compensability. Use the Tennessee guide for the claim path.
Why are there two 2026 rate periods?
Tennessee adjusts compensation rates each July 1, so the injury date controls.
Does the calculator value permanent disability?
No. Permanent benefits use impairment and separate statutory formulas.
Can TPD last more than 450 weeks?
No. Modern Tennessee TPD is limited to 450 weeks.
