Permanent-benefit caution

Scheduled injuries can use 50%, 55%, or in specified return-to-work circumstances 75% of AMW for the scheduled period. Unscheduled awards generally depend on loss of earning capacity and may use 55% of that loss. Classification, impairment, prior disability, earning capacity, credits, and settlement choices make these unsuitable for a simple temporary-benefit calculator.
