Arizona calculates compensation monthly

Arizona TTD generally equals 66⅔% of the average monthly wage established for the claim. For a 2026 injury, compensation cannot be based on more than $6,131 of AMW, producing a base TTD ceiling of $4,087.33 per month. A worker with one or more qualifying dependents receives one additional monthly allowance: $25 for claims filed before September 26, 2025, or $100 for claims filed on or after that date.

TPD generally equals 66⅔% of the difference between pre-injury wages and post-injury earning capacity. Unemployment benefits received during TPD count as wages able to be earned.

AMW maximum and payment timing

The injury-year maximum limits the wage basis, not the worker’s actual earnings. The ICA establishes the claim’s AMW and may use methods other than a simple 30-day snapshot when the facts require it. Use the accepted AMW or test supported scenarios.

Temporary compensation is generally paid at least every two weeks, but the statute and ICA materials express the rate on a monthly basis. The displayed 14-day equivalent is a planning conversion only; carrier proration and payable days can differ.
