Maximum weekly compensation rates
Florida’s maximum for an accident year equals the statewide AWW rounded to the nearest dollar. The 2026 statewide AWW announced by DWC is $1,357.95, producing a maximum weekly compensation rate of $1,358.

Temporary disability formulas

Average weekly wage matters
The formula starts only after AWW is determined under section 440.14. The common 13-week method requires substantially-whole employment during the relevant period. Similar-worker, seasonal, full-time, part-time, under-22, and concurrent-employment provisions may change the result.
Impairment and permanent benefits
Impairment income benefits
The weekly impairment benefit is generally 75% of the average weekly TTD benefit. The statute can reduce weeks by 50% when earnings during a benefit week equal or exceed AWW. The impairment rating and payment schedule require a claim-specific review.
Permanent total disability
PTD has separate disability, employment-capacity, age, and continuation rules. A temporary calculator cannot determine PTD eligibility or duration.
Reemployment services
Eligible workers may receive vocational evaluation, training, or other reemployment assistance through the applicable program.
Settlements
A settlement is not calculated by multiplying one weekly rate. Medical exposure, future benefits, disputes, evidence, offsets, attorney review, and approval requirements may matter.
Medical and death benefits
